2. Visiting this website

When you visit this website, the hosting provider processes technically necessary data – in particular IP address, date and time of access, browser information and pages requested. This processing is required to deliver the site securely and reliably.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation). Retention: server logs are deleted after seven days at the latest.

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by an external provider with whom a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place.

Hosting provider: Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany

Server location: Germany. The specific data centre is named in the data processing agreement. No data is transferred to a third country.

4. Demo requests through the form

If you request a demo through the form, we process the details you enter: company, contact person, email address, optionally a phone number, federal state, headcount, type of contracts, approximate volume of field notes and your message.

Purpose: handling your enquiry and preparing the appointment. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual steps taken at your request). The checkbox confirms that you have read this policy; it is not consent within the meaning of point (a). Retention: if no contract results, we delete the details no later than twelve months after the last contact, unless statutory retention periods apply. Recipients: the details are not passed on to third parties and are not used for advertising.

Spam protection without a captcha: the form contains a field invisible to humans and a timestamp set when the page loads. Both serve solely to fend off automated submissions. No captcha service is embedded and no third party is contacted.

Quote requests through the form

When you request a quote for a software project through the form on /en/request-a-quote/, we process the details you enter there: company, contact person, email address, optionally telephone number, country, type of need, your description of the project and, where you provide them, budget range and preferred start.

Purpose: handling your request, preparing the conversation and drawing up a quote. Legal basis, storage period, recipients and spam protection: as for demo requests above. Both forms are processed in the same way, on a service we operate ourselves.

5. Free tools

The tools under /en/tools/ run entirely in your browser. What you enter, the files you open and the results calculated are not transmitted to a server and not stored. No processing of personal data by us takes place in this respect.

In particular, a file opened in the GAEB viewer does not leave your computer; it is neither uploaded nor cached. The same holds for an invoice you check in the XRechnung validator: it carries your client, your prices and your bank details, and it too is read in the browser and sent nowhere.

6. Audience measurement

Where audience measurement is used, it is cookieless and self-hosted. No cookies are set, nothing is stored on or read from your device, and no cross-device profiles are created. IP addresses are not stored; a daily rotating, non-reversible hash is used to distinguish visits.

Only aggregated information is collected: page requested, referrer, device category, country and the use of individual features (for example that a tool was used or the demo form was submitted). Inputs are not recorded – neither field contents nor file names nor calculated values.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in data-minimising audience measurement). Recipients: none; the analysis runs on a server we operate. Objection: you may object at any time at the address given above.

A consent banner is not required because no information is accessed on your device within the meaning of § 25 TDDDG.

7. No third-party services

This website embeds no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking services – in particular no Google Analytics, no Google Tag Manager, no social media pixels and no external map services. Fonts are served locally; there is no connection to external font services.

8. Contacting us by email

If you write to us by email, we process your details solely to handle your enquiry.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract-related enquiries, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

9. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
